On 28.04.2024 Zoe and Dave went to assist Brett in running the Molesey Aquapaddle as Crew, They Took the camper van and stayed overnight at the Apps Court campsite right next to Sunbury Lock, which is exactly halfway on our paddle the Thames section 13 to Teddington, so we may change our Thames section to 2 x 6 mile paddles rather than 1 x 12 mile.
It started raining in the evening and didn’t stop overnight until 0800 on the day of the paddle,
We had reverted to the reservoir as the Thames was bound to be on red boards after the rain.
It was quite windy on the reservoir but we all took up positions where we were best places to assist if needed,
There were no incidents and the event went well, so back to the clubhouse for a cuppa and de brief, the 5k was completed in 28 mins.
