Sunday 21st April was quite a busy day for davepaddles, we had planned to paddle from here to the Koi carp pub and back and with Glen tagging along who was going to show us a few tricks and flips in his new C1, all was set,
Glens new boat was delayed, and work still needed to be done. so instead we diverted to a working party, With a pool session booked for the afternoon, to complete a paddle safer course we decided to crack on and get what needs to be done, done.
Dave was Jet washing the Facia (canal side) removing over and inch of moss growth, whilst Glen was busy rebuilding a wall with bricks and mortar and loads of coffee and Crisps. whilst Phillip was tiding up.

It was nice to see a group of paddlers from a local club paddle past and say hi, and mention how nice it was looking,
Dave being Dave invented a rope pully system that allowed him to shuttle to where he needed to be in a safe way to jet wash the fascia.
Glen couldn’t find the instruction’s for the spirit level so built the wall by eye, and did an amazing job.
Phillip tidied up. and also did an amazing job,
The pool session was approaching and as we had the use of Dave’s Jet wash and Aqua vac we decided to use them.
Cleaned Dried and Checked, We were set for the pool session later in the day.

Phillip nailed his self rescue and passed his paddle safer award in his Touring Kayak..

Lindsey also smashed the award with 100% effort, and as a starting block learning and investing in Buoyancy.
All in all a great day, a busy day, but well worth it.
