The following morning, Sunday 31st May there were a few more clouds in the sky compared to the last few days and it had rained for a short time the evening before.
I had a nice cup of tea waiting for me (made by Dave, for once!) as I woke up at about 7am with Dave informing me Anthony had left at 6 to beat the traffic after the half term holiday.
Brendan was awake and had gone up the hill to retrieve a carved walking pole of Anthony’s that somehow had become misplaced into a cow’s field, (some say Brendan didn’t like the fact Antony’s was longer than the stick he carried and that it was thrown into the field deliberately), all be it, on his return Anthony had already left.
Sam and Chris had ventured into Llangollen on the sat eve, for food and to explore, thus returning late and no one wanted to wake them. but we knew they had returned as the shoes that were drying on the fence had been removed.
We planned to park at our previous get in car park and walk the other way past the old mill and to the canals end at Horseshoe Falls to stretch the legs and enjoy the area as much as we could before journeying our separate ways returning home for work on Monday.
It was a much more gentler stroll than the hike to the castle on Friday and this time I wore trainers!

Dave, Brendan and I visited the falls, and returning along the towpath we sat and had a coffee, crisps and cake (which a little friendly Robin loved the crumbs of!) before returning to our vehicles and departing for home.
It was a lovely walk to end the great weekend with!
