On Sunday 7th April we paddled on the Basingstoke Canal once again, but this time the Odiham castle stretch,

The weather was great, but a bit blustery, The water was crystal clear most of the time and you could see the shoals of Rudd very clearly.
The get in was an easy one with a nice picnic area and a pub for a de-brief after.

Parking was great and there was plenty plenty of it, although I’d presume it gets busier in the summer.
We got on the water at almost 10 am, and paddled until 12ish, stopped for lunch and paddled some more until about 2.30pm.

Always on his Pillbox search, Dave spotted yet another without the aid of google earth 🙂 .
Another great trip undertaken by davepaddles, enjoyed by all on a pleasant canal.
