As usual we met at the Grove Lock Pub in Leighton buzzard for a 10am Start, Due to the fine weather and holidays etc we were short of numbers for this to be an exciting event for the effort that goes into marshalling and actually running it as an event, so the day before those that has signed up decided on letting Zoe have a lay in, and just going for a social the other way downstream from the Grove.
We also had the pleasure of welcoming back Winney onto the water, also meeting up with Anna and Pam, along with Dave, Graham O and Brendan.
This time Dave was on his SUP and was the first to cross the finish line, before relaxing in the sun and waiting for the others to arrive.
Sam L popped in for a chat and a coffee, Anna and Pam diss appeared into the distance as Winney and Brendan returned.
all in all, a great day’s paddling with the best company.
