What a great day, we started all as planned, with the usual additions and withdrawals and all the paperwork that goes with it but it was covered, an early start, risk assessment, load, setup and then good to go.
At the venue, (The Grand Junction Arms in Tring) we had a carpark marshal (Peter) directing any vehicles to a safe area as he always does, Pete is a bit of a ghost marshal as after his volunteering he goes home, Pete is also a class 1 LGV as well as PSV driver so can see things we car drivers can’t, he can drive almost anything. (Thankyou Pete for helping in 2024.)
With all the manic changes in signups etc it was hard to get a grip of the exact no’s of marshals needed to run the event, but we covered it,
SO, A BIG SHOUT OUT AND THANKYOU to all of them to be able to run these events for you.

Please, if you no longer want to participate in the event then can you unregister as this allows other people to sign up and also means that we know how many marshals we need to assist with the event on the day.
After the event we retired into the Grand Junction Arms The pub that has facilitated us all year 2024 since we started. THANK YOU, Grand Junction Arms.
A paddler had done his research and found out Dave was also a Car Valeter eek.

So, after that we decided to have some munchies.
