As I have never mentioned it before, the weather looked perfect for this months Tring AquaPaddle, The lower carpark was open to us and Peter P arrived early and coordinated the parking. (thanks Pete)

Kit sorted , flags up as everyone arrived and set about getting ready.

We had a presentation just before the safety briefing, and as this Aquapaddle is marshalled by davepaddles.co.uk its still classed as club activity so what better place to award CRH with his 100 mile Thames certificate, (well done Chris) and to bring some awareness that we as a club actually specialise in paddle the whole non tidal river Thames for all craft and paddlers abilities,

This award was well earned, The Thames is 137.5 miles long with lots of locks and portages, and can be gruelling on a not nice day, but every day with Dave is sunny 🙂 .
back to AquaPaddle, it was a nice sunny day with little wind, the sun was shining and not forecast for a shower until well after the event.
We had some new faces as well as regulars, and that’s great to see, Tring is limited to 20 due to parking, but out alt venue at the grove LB is limited to 50., with lots of parking and an equally nice start and end point.
It was once again great to meet the new people that attended, AquaPaddles is a growing entity all over the UK, its also free. just register select craft (your own) and enter.
Thanks to Monika and Mike A1SUP HIRE for helping with Marshalling, and all the marshals.
Only 30 odd miles to go Chris and you’ve smashed it you’re close to completing the non tidal Thames.
Gallery of the day below. Thankyou all for attending.
