On Sunday 30th April we ran a taster session for a new member, As davepaddles is not a bums on seat club we tailor all ore sessions and courses to the individual/s that want to take part, this time it was just 1. but Dave had to drop some kit back to the club after our pool session and was there anyway so a taster session it was.
Dave gave Jackie the full safety brief as Phillip organised the boats after fitting them out and setting them up.
After a short trip over the bridge we were on the water on a beautifully sunny afternoon.
There were a few initial spins from Jackie on her first kayaking trip with us but she soon improved and after a bit of tuition from dave found her rhythm and was soon chatting away and paddling straight. (well done Jackie) We all did that spinney thing.
We paused at the lock for some photos and a chat as it was such a lovely day. they will be below.
All in all another great time on the water, and another new member.
