Davepaddles Clear Access Clear Waters Officer and Chairman Jai is planning Our 1st clean up as a Paddle UK affiliated club.
THIS IS A FREE EVENT IF YOU HAVE YOUR OWN KIT.
Jai plans to do 4 of these a year on various sections of Rivers and Canals.
Our Pilot event will be held on the Grand Union Canal near Tring, with other locations being Rickmansworth and others that will be announced nearer the time.
Our Pilot even will be held on Sunday 2nd June.
We are in a unique position as paddlers, we can collect plastic and other waste from places others are unable to access.
By taking part in our paddle clean-up we will be:
- Helping to minimise pollution and improve the health of our waterways
- Help to protect wildlife
- Connect with nature
- Enjoy the wellbeing benefits of being in blue spaces
Come and join us, Litter pickers Sacks and Gloves can be provided. and you don’t need to paddle to help, the banks need a tidy up too.
