After a pool session on Sat 26th Dave stayed at Apps Court again, a nice big campsite that you can book a single night and is just 10 mins drive from our pool and AquaPaddle Hampton Molesey.
So an early start for Bewl water was not necessary as we were already half way there.
05.45am it was misty.

I always try to park on the slab that exits to the lock and ferry, through a gate, Sunday Mornings Apps Court has one of the biggest car boot sales I’ve ever known and they start early, so being out of the way is great.

At about 08.30ish we left for Bewl, some traffic problems somewhere took us through some weird and wonderful places but eventually arriving at Bewl at about 10.20am.
We had an issue with the carpark phone up, download app thing, that eventually Dave said Rollox too, and dave used his new trolley instead of his shoulder to transport the said craft and gear to the get in.

why have I never had one of these before?
Cathy arrived soon after followed by Liz, and parking discussions followed, Dave and Liz were rinsed by the tackle shop of extra funds costing between £7.50-£9.95. and on Dave’s exploration, was told “we have just changed to a new system” !
Rollox! Scamming T*ATS!
anyway, on the water we went, Ian powes was also setting up to take a few people out and pleasantries were exchanged.
The weather was amazing, 21 degrees hot and sunny and the only ripple was from passing craft.
We set out to fact find, and that we did, Dave knows this water from marshalling a swim/run with Phillip back in 2023.
a great body of water and a great day out. although a bit costly atm.
