Ardingley Reservoir

26/11/23 4 paddlers met at Ardingly Reservoir for a taste of some bigger water than they are used to, most have not been more than 50 metres from a bankside, and Ardingly was the perfect place for a taster session.

It was a frosty cold start to the day, with all of us having to scrape our windscreens before setting off, Lindsey had Camped overnight at a nearby campsite and was raring to go,

All wrapped up warm we set off, We was expecting the water to be a bit more turbulent than it was, but we had all day and it made for an easy get in.

Jai who is a paddlesport leader in training led the group around the outside of the reservoir.

The reservoir was like a millpond, calm, flat and tranquil.

This was enjoyed by all as easy paddling and time to chat.

Jai done an exceptional job in watching out for us all and his humour and positive attitude kept us all motivated and engaged throughout.

Lunch.

Well Done to Phillip and Lindsey for completing their Paddle start course on this trip and Jai for leading in un familiar waters.

A great day out with great people.

3 Kayaks a Canoe, and 3 doggies, Out on a Cold Sunday enjoying the environment. is that not whats its about?
