Dave arrived at the Grand Junction Arms first to set up for the morning followed by Peter who now has the carpark marshalling down to a tee, thanks Pete.
Due to tyre trouble Chris arrived in his smaller car with no room for his boat but with a bit of planning had arranged for Dave to transport it the day before.
As Zoe was working today Monica had agreed to be our timekeeper for the event.
Jai and Phillip arrived, and Jai soon took off locating himself at the turn around point, and Phillip and the dogs positioned themselves on one of the bridges to take photos.
The birthday boy (Glen) had not arrived by the time we were set for the safety briefing so we carried on anyway.
We had 14 participants, and it was nice to see some new faces on the Tring AquaPaddle and some trying AquaPaddle for the 1st time.
We had 6 marshals, 3 on the water and 3 on the bank, (Thanks All)
Winny was our fastest paddler completing the 5K in a little under 42 mins, well done Adam.
Followed by Anna in a little over 50 mins, well done Anna.
The weather was spot on for the event and everyone completed the distance quite comfortably.
After checking, cleaning and drying our kit before packing up we retired into the garden of the pub for a well-earned drink and some cake and crisps with the birthday boy who had finally arrived.
