This section of the Grand Union Canal (GUC) started at The Grove Lock Pub, good parking next to the canal.
An easy get in with a Start time of 10am, greetings to Dave (birthday last week) and Phillip’s Birthday yesterday.7.47km of paddling without a lock to portage.
A quiet stretch of GUC and some walkers admiring the 5 dogs and 3 paddlers.
Great lunch spot and time to chat on a bench at the lock, greeting all passers-by.
Then back to the start, beautiful sunny weather and a recommended route.
