On a chilly but dry Sunday morning the 18th of October we met at the Grand Junction arms in Tring for our bimonthly hydro5K, this time however we also added a 10K on the same pound and at the same time.
Due to a knee problem Dave assisted Zoe with the start from the bank as he felt that getting inside his kayak may be an entrapment risk.
Graham O was marshalling as usual on foot keeping a watchful eye on the paddlers.
With a misplaced car key found we bang on the start time of 10am.
Susan and Sheelagh were paddling a 5K with Brendan Graham F and Anthony opting for the 10K in preparation of the race to the castle 27.

The results of the 5K were Susan – 50.48 and Sheelagh – 56.05.
The results of the 10K were Graham F – 1.23 and Brendan – 1.25 Anthony came in with a 1.32, Anthony did however stop on several occasions to take photos and change out of his wetsuit so we think he would have been in second place challenging Graham F, theoretically putting Brendan in 3rd with clear need for improvement.
All the photos of the morning are in our Gallery below.
A special thanks to the marshals and timekeeper and as always The Grand Junction Arms for the hospitality and hosting.
