Dave had agreed with Brett to vice C the Hamton AquaPaddle on the 15th as Brett was opening a new location in Wales,
Dave and Zoe were staying at the Apps Court Farm campsite as they have done many times before, this time however Dave had a new toy, his very own SUP.
The campsite was rammed, and temps was his the high 20’s but the wind picked up for the Saturday, and Dave called in the experts, Liz and Clare to oversee him across the Thames, whereas Zoe would take the £2 ferry and Dave would paddle her back.

This didn’t go to plan as Dave forgot his bank card and Zoes PFD, although Liz turned up and escorted Dave across the busy windswept waterway to the pub.
Securing the Sups in an expert fashion to some twigs on a tree/bush, we met Zoe inside for a quick drink.
Clare and I owe you a Knee turned up and we found a nice table on the terrace. no 19.
We were soon ejected from there as it was reserved from 7pm, 1900hrs.
Clare and eye o knee agreed to drive Zoe back as Dave had forgotten her pfd anyway as Dave and Liz agreed to battle the wind and mad boaters on the SUP’s and return across river.

Once all safely back at apps court we decided on food a BBQ, Sausages and Burgers with the usual trimmings of onions and cheese.
We sat and ate, as the sun went down telling stories and just doing the camping/glamping thing.

at around 10pm it was time to clear up and our guests to depart, 10.14 Ish pm Liz was on the phone, everyone was locked in. the gates close and lock at 10pm with no exit till 5am. OOOOPS.
Dave sprang into action and managed to raise someone who could let the cars out, another great rescue that was outcome based.
Sunday was AP Hamton Molesey day and Zoe and Dave had it all set up and ready for the 10am start. We had 14 paddlers on the water, all went very well with the quickest time of 26 mins,
Phillip didn’t try and cheat this time and completed the 5K with the doggies in 46 mins beating Daves time by 3 mins, (well done Phillip).
